Please help identifying a feature on 06 A8L
 

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and also a new proud owner of 2006 Audi A8L.
I was wondering if someone can help me identifying a button on the roof console, please see attached picture. The button is shown in the manual but there is absolutely no description of what it actually for. I can’t figure it out since when I press it, nothing happens.

Ambient lighting.
 

The lighting on the doors when you are driving at night. If you have the interior lights off then the button will not work. Play with the MMI for the interior lights and you will notice the ambient lighting on the doors.
