Salesman's A8 Claim
 

The salesman at our local Audi dealer told us that - to date nobody has ever died in an Audi A8 (referring to an occupant in an A8).

Call me a skeptic, but I find this hard to believe. Let's get some feedback and thoughts here. Do you think that this is correct...or no?

p.s. I am not in any way disparaging the safety of the car, but there are situations whereby the situation is beyond the safety design and build capabilities.

--- EDIT: Just actually read the articles, so maybe just 1 for sure out of these...who knows worldwide(?). But I will say that with it's construction, road manners, ESP and cocoon of airbags, I've never felt safer in a motor vehicle. ---

Yeah that guy is talking out of his behind, no car is bullet proof, but the A8 is definately one of the safest, especially the D3. It even has airbags for your knee caps!

You are correct. I'm ashamed I didn't notice the telltale black panel around the license plate right away...just read the article, but didn't pay much attention to the photo. Bad news reporting.
