Seafoam an A8
 

Hello again everyone,
I am trying to Seafoam my 1999 A8 4.2L. I have searched and searched but have found no info on how to perform the intake cleaning on this car. I took my best guess, and unplugged the vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator. I then sucked the Seafoam into that, about 1/3 of a can. I saw no smoke, so I stopped. I let the car sit for 20 minutes, started it, and still no smoke. I don't think this was the right place to do it. I've attached a picture to show the location of where I sucked in the Seafoam...the green straw is the line i used. Can anyone tell me the correct location or verify that this was wrong, or right?

see if you can find the brake booster line,thats where you would get the best results.imho

do you have any guidance as to the general area to find the brake booster line? I haven't searched for it yet, and my knowledge of engines is limited at best. Thanks for your help.
