:confused: Could anyone please inform me on the type of sirius module I need for the 04' A8L I want to buy the module and install myself rather than having the dealer put it in, they wanted $763 and I figured its gotta be cheaper to get someone to put it in

I am looking for the same info. I recently bought an 04 Audi A8 and it didn't come with the satellite module. The satellite radio option is greyed out. I ordered the module and want to install myself. I cannot find the instructions anywhere! All of the links are old or outdated. Does anyone have an instruction link/pictures for the install of the module. Also, will I just be able to plug n play, or are there other steps involved besides ordering my subscription. Please let me know. Thanks!

SDARS (Sirius or XM) is a fairly easy install.

You can see in this diagram 2004 AUDI A8 QUATTRO Parts - AudiUSAParts.com
that it attaches to the panel in the left side of the trunk/boot next to the NAV and stereo.

You will need a retrofit kit that has the fibre optic jumper and power cables if they are not already there.

It is essentially a plug and play process.
