Spark Plugs 2008 BVJ

Okay, I'm looking at replacing my plugs, 2008 A8L BVJ Engine. I'd like to use Denso or NGK Iridiums, but haven't been able to find a direct part number. Even the cross reference list and search function don't go up to 2008 on the DENSO site for the 4.2L BVJ. It lists an IK20 for a 2007 BVJ engine, question is, are the engines the same and can I just use that plug?

Anyone put in NGK or DENSO into a 2008 A8?

To add more info, I contacted the dealer for the OEM part number currently installed. The "correct" p/n for a 2008 A8 BVJ is 101905621B which I was told is an NGK plug "specifically" made for Audi. I checked NGK's site and they have NO listings at all for 2008 Audi. Under a 2007 Audi A8 BVJ, the NGK part number is a Laser Platinum PFR6W-T. I'm wondering if a BVJ is a BVJ is a BVJ or does the year difference really matter?

If I go to DENSO's site and cross reference the Audi part number, it only shows a 621A and no 621B and in parentheses shows the PFR6W-T and the only DENSO plug listed is an Iridium Tough VKB20 which curiously isn't available in the US. I confirmed that with a search and found it on a site in Japan for about $15 USD per.

Why the f*ck is it so hard to find a spark plug for a car? I would think every perturbation of heat ranges, dimensions, core thicknesses etc would have been produced and easily cross referenced. Not so apparently. Seems like a money grab for Audi along with the increased use of special tools.

It should work, NGK and Denso are the main supplier of all spark plugs for audi. The 07 plugs should also work in the 08, the dimensions of the engine are identical.
