Default suspension air compressor diy refurbish

so my 2004 A8L sagged everywhere
compressor barely alive

bought an online refurbish kit: included piston ring, 2 bolts, two gaskets.
all you really might need is the piston ring. the other parts were reuaseable.

took the compressot out and bench tested. it was weak.

did the refurbish and the air blew out like the force of a hair dryer on medium.
AND some water blew out ! no idea where that came from but the piston and cylinder were dry. nothing told me there was water in the drier compartment.

but compressor back on car....nothing. it stred for 10 seconds and quit.

car is up on 4 axle jacks. yellow suspension light flashing.

going to bench test it again.
not sure whats going on.

fuse ? relay ? wiring from the vehicle into compressor ?

stumped.

All the beads were dry when you took it apart ?

What does an Auto-Scan tell you ?

I can almost 99% guarantee it's not a fuse or relay - yet.

CCDs said leak in system and over temp

Took pump apart. Was dirty but dry. No scoring. Changed piston ring.
Bench tested and it blew like a hairdryer on medium. Not intermittent so most feel not magnet issue

Got it up on all corners with axle jacks
Put motor back on with car still in air
Yellow light
Got flashes
Pump comes on then off
Car thinks it's ride height ok cus it's in air

All four ride modes stay lit red. None grey

Will put car down now after one more bench test

Big thanks to bagpipingandy and his refurbish kit which is a very affordable starting point

This is not an Auto-Scan.

then see what happens
