Transmisson fluid change

My Audi A8 2003 D3 has covered 35000 miles , does it need transmisson fluid change

It shouldn't yet - probably closer to 60k is about right. The owners manual should tell you.

The owners manual will say its a lifetime fluid, don't believe that. The D3 A8 has super expensive fluid (its blue actually) which is somewhere around $20 a quart. It should be changed every 80k or so. I would just do it with the timing belt service.

The maintenance manual for my '07 A8 says that transmision fluid (ATF) should be replaced at 75K.

Thanks for your reply. So i will look into getting the fluid change when it reach 70k but does time factor contribute to fluid deterioation since my car is now over 6 years old
Thanks
