Trunk will not open
 

I have a 01 A8L, grey with black interior. My first Audi ever. Great car but dealer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Used Mckenna of Norwalk, Ca since buying the car about 1 yr ago. Never have parts, and keep the car 1-2 wks for minor repairs and then I have to bring the car back because not repaired correctly. In addition, the service consultant doesn't return calls and to add to that the Service Mgr ignores your 6 messages. I haven't been able to find a local shop in the LA, north orange county area so thinking of selling although I love the car.

If anyone knows a good Audi mechanic in my area please let me know.

My immediate problem is the trunk. Yesterday morning it opened fine but at lunchtime it would not. Tried 2 remotes with no luck and will not open with the keys either. You can hear it electronically doing doing something but the truck will not open. Does anyone have any ideas? I hope it's not to bring to the dealer. Mckenna by the way is the only Audi dealer reasonably close to me.

If you really feel you have a problem, I would consult Audi of America. They usually will do most anything to fix things.

Sounds like something in the linkage for the trunk release is either broken or unhooked.
