Exclamation Trying to buy a used Q5 but...

The owner says it needs transmission. Said he already had it replaced, but the mechanic did not know how to program the new tranny. It's slipping once it warms up but he says it will go away once I find someone to program the new one. I'm willing to take it to the dealer to get it done if this is the case but I find it a little odd that a slipping transmission is due to software.

The car is a 2009 with about 120k miles for $3500. Seems like a good deal if all it needs is a transmission programming.

Has anyone here had a transmission replaced - I'd like to know more about your experience and what you know about the programming part of it.

Thanks in Advance.
