Help me diagnose this noise...
We bought a used 2012 Q5 2.0 Turbo last weekend with 60k miles. A little higher milage than we wanted but it was a giant steph up from the Kia Soul we had before.
On test drives everything seemed great and the car still runs fine, I absolutely love it.
However, we've noticed a faint whistling/whooshing sound when idling or driving at slow speeds. The noise is more prominent when turning. We hear the noise inside the car but as far as we can tell, no noise outside. It's possible the noise is still there when driving at higher speeds and it's just cancelled out by engine/road noise.
We checked power steering fluid and the level is fine.
Being new to Audi this may be a normal sound, but it has us worried. I've scoured other forum posts and haven't found any noise concerns that match the same as ours. Any ideas? THANK YOU to anyone who decides to throw something out! I have a video of the noise but I'm not sure how to post it.

Does it only happen when your A/C is running? To test it out, reach down and switch off the "A/C" button on your dash. I had a similar "fan" or "whooshing" noise and I pinned it down to the A/C compressor bearing going out.
Not sure why it would be connected to turning if that were it, though.
