Default Oil level dipstick

Hello all, I did search but no results. I changed the oil in my wifes '11 Q5 2.0T yesterday, and realized there is a tube available at the front of the engine for a dipstick. I did some research and came up with a VW part #06F115611F. I am going to call my local VW dealer to see if they stock it, or possibly my not-so-local Audi dealer. I found one here but not positive it's the correct one. Can anyone offer any insight? Thanks- Tim

Dipstick was the wrong one- the top of the dipstick was too small for the tube. Re-checked the computer while I was there and came up with part# 06J-115-611-E. Picked it up and installed last night, this is the correct one. It was almost $49 but the parts guy "made it work" in the computer- he manually adjusted the price so it was the same as the first one. Good to know they can do stuff like that

You did well on the price once all was said and done. But the 06F-115-611-F (first one sold but wrong) retailed for 22.90 so that one was over msrp, we'd have sold it to you for 14.20 plus shipping of 7-10 dollars UPS ground. The correct one 06F-115-611-F retailed for 45.00 and we'd have sold it for the internet discount price of 27.90 plus shipping. I am glad you got what you need without having to pay shipping though. Etka doesn't list dipstick part numbers for cars like yours. Where did you end up finding the correct number for your car?

The guy at the parts counter at the VW dealer, he cross referenced with the Audi parts manual somehow and ordered the 2nd one. We figured if it didnt fit I would have to travel a little farther to the Audi dealer and see if I could get the correct one

Actually you cut and pasted the wrong part number, the correct one is...

06J-115-611-E

FYI Only...

Default Add dipstick

Just purchased a Q5 2.0. I will either purchase a 06J-115-611E dipstick for "permanant" installation or an AU40178 adjustable dipstick that the mechanics use. Both retail for about $48 - kinda frosts me that an $$$ vehicle comes without a dipstick. I read every reason from EU prohibits them to Audi is saving money.

My question is, "How do you remove the cap on the end of the dipstick tube?" There does not appear to be any way to remove it other than to yank it off. But with the tube and the cap are being plastic I am concerned that they may break. One forum said to twist it a quarter turn, but there is no slot to ease it out.

Hi - I realize this discussion is a few years old now but I was wondering how the Part # 06J115611E oil dipstick worked out for your 2013 Q5 2.0T? Is your's a TFSI or TSI engine? (printed on top of the engine cover).

I want to purchase the same dipstick for my 2014 Q5 2.0T TFSI but it apparently only fits/works on the TSI engines, based upon this website anyway:

Audi Q5 Quattro 2.0T - 06J115611E - Engine Oil Dipstick - ES#2662893

I'm trying to confirm whether this is actually true.

Thanks
