DVD nav version
 

I just got aQ7 with 7700 miles on it. The map is obviously not up-to-date. Before I go to the dealer and buy a DVD update, how do I know what version I have? Isthe version accessiblesomewhere via MMI or do I need to find the DVD?

Never mind. I found it right on the face of the DVD (duh). On a related note, is anyone finding that the navigation doesn't work very well? I have a portable Garmin in my other vehicles, and the nav in the Q7 really sucks. I've had problems navigating -- it's taken me down a cul de sac when I was looking for the nearest gas station, for example. I was also driving on a road parallel to the interstate and it thought I was on the interstate -- kept telling me to take the next exit. I've updated the map DVD to the 2008 version, but I do not think this problem is data related. I have a co-worker who owns a new 2008 Tourag and they've complained about its nav, too. Could be the same software.
