Hi,

I purchased a center grille insert for my Q7 to replace the stock one with the license plate holder. If anyone knows how to remove the center piece on the stock grille and the tools needed I would greatly appreciate the instructions. Hopefully the entire grille doesn't have to be removed.

Hi Dave, we just bought a 2015 Q7 and were trying to find that strip for the front grill that replaces the license plate holder. The dealer wants $500. We're looking for something that is a little less pricey. Any suggestions?

 

I just did the same....once you get the tag off and the 4 screws behind it, just use a plastic trim tool on the bottom near the edges and the old filler panel will pop out.

 

Shocked your dealer wouldn't give that to you at cost which is $325
