Default 2001 audi tt immobilizer

I have a 2001 225 and it was manufactured in 6/2000 and when i got a new key cut for the car there was no programming of the ecu needed to start the car. It fired right up right off the machine. I also dont have a key that shows up on my cluster when i start the car, do i have an immobilizer? I thought all cars had either 2 or 3 but did some early models not have any?

As far as I know they all either have 2 or 3 yet people from AudiWorld have posted/informed me that early models don't have ANY immobilizer. I think it just depends on your car.

Mine has Immo II...it doesn't have a key on the cluster (only Immo III cars do afaik).

Your car should start right up if you got a key cut and programmed to work with it.
