I know that there has been a bunch of stuff written on this subject here, but I have been trying to polish up the faded headlights lenses on this car for hours, with lousy success. When I looked for new headlights on ebay and elsewhere, the price EACH for new headlights seem to run anywhere from $600 to $1,000 ! (Are they serious ?). However, I did find a PAIR on ebay from one seller for $330 new, which seems cheap, compared to everywhere else. This is it :

Anyone know if these headlights are any good ?
My other question is that some posts here talk of taking off just the lenses of the old headlights, and replacing them. If so, where can I get the replacement lenses ?
Thanks for any input

The only place to get lenses is to buy used lights and transplant the lenses onto your lights. they are not available anywhere otherwise.

I polished mine with the 3M lens renewal kit, # 39014. It worked well.
My deep scratches:

After using 3m:

You can also use a series of fine grit w/d sandpaper but don't start with anything more coarse then 1000. Work up to 3000 if you can. It worked very well on my son's toyota to remove cloudy/yellowing:

cheers.

Looks like from the first photo that what you had on the TT were a few distinct scratches. The transparency of the lens looks good. But mine has 11 years and 187,000 miles of erosion by the elements. They are cloudy and finely pitted. I tried the Meguir's headlight kit, and worked on the headlight for hours, following the instructions on the box. But the lens is still cloudy. Slightly better than it was originally, but still not satisfactory. I think I am either going to have to try to find replacement lenses, or the complete headlight(s) assembly.
