2005 TT Headlights
I have a 2005 TT Quattro 6 speed.
My headlight goes out. I had the bulbs replaced. It still happens.
If I turn of the headlights, wait 5 seconds and turn back on they both are on, for a short while.
Lately it seems the drivers headlight is the one that goes out.
My mechanic thinks it may be the wiring in the headlight?
I am in Arizona and it gets rather hot and dry hear in the summer.
Has anyone had this issue or have an idea on what do fix?
Two headlight assemblies are $$$$

I have called some aftermarket shops.
with the HID Xeon, we have very limited choices.
In my research, it seems it is the HID igniter.
That was the most common thread.
The power supply and switching the light bulbs were all offered.
I may look for a used headlight

Thanks for responding Dave. Are you saying this problem is a bad headlight and a replacement would be the fix? My mechanic who is very familiar with Audo’s told me he won’t know until he starts taking things apart. He has a contact with a tech at a local Audi dealer who might shed some light on it. Have you taken your car to a dealer?
