2006 stereo code

i own a 2006 audi tt and i'm installing a ipod adapter to the factory bose stereo. does anyone know if the stereo will request a code?? thanks in advance.

If power is cut from it, it will want a code.
Try wiring a 9v battery to cigarette lighter, I heard that holds it. No gaurantees of course.
