Default 3" Downpipe 00 TT 180T FWD

I keep hearing that 3" downpipes are all over ebay for the 180T. What search strings do you need to find the right ones and anyone know first hand where I can pick 'em up for the cheapest price? I'm thinking of doing my exhaust soon and I can't afford to go the APR $2000+ Turbo back setup.

I searched the forum for exhaust threads but they seemed pretty old. Any ideas for a cheaper 3" catless turbo back setup?

I heard that custom tends to be cheaper... I'm in Hawaii so if I can avoid shipping large bulky items out here, I'd prefer that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you think the info changes if its a few months old? Not sure what you are calling a 180T, but since you have 180fwd in your sig, all you need is a MKIV 1.8t downpipe. All fwd 1.8t's use the same dp. You can find them on ebay for about $100shipped.

Default AWD vs FWD Downpipe

Does the 180hp AWD have the same downpipe as the 180hp FWD?

^ no you have a haldex drive shaft to the rear so your DP is angled differently

you need to get the the right downpipe

a qualified shop can make almost anything, mild steel pipes will rust quickly, stainless 409 will surface rust and 304 stainless never rusts, 10 yrs in my experience, 175xxx miles, pay me now or pay me again if you keep the car a while, as said systems for the FWD cars are cheaper, but not free
