Amp wiring problem
I am trying to wire in my amp for my 2000 TT Quattro but I am running into a small problem with where to get the signal from. I don't have the owner's manual or the code for the factory bose concert radio. I don't want to unplug it or pull it out for fear I will have to go to Audi to get the code. I was hoping I could put a tap on one of the inputs going to the amp (preamp signal for quality) but I'm not sure where the amp is located. I found a medium black box on the driver side in front of the rear wheel well but it doesn't really look like an amp.
Does anyone know whereI can tap a signal from between the radio and the amp? What wire colors? I think the bose radio uses a common ground so I can grab the ground from anywhere, but I'n not sure about the signal wire.
Also, where is the best location to pass the power wire through the firewall?
Thank you,
Pictures are great if you have them.

it covers all trims of the MKI.

Thanks, I'm looking for the connector pin out for the bose amp if anyone has it (with wire colors)? I am doing searches but nothing much is coming up for the tt and I've compared the wires of an a4 that I found and they are not the same.
amp is located behind the panel butting against the rear seat, passenger side. you can hear it click on/off if you turn the radio on/off with the car off.
thats the most i can tell you about it, i dont have any plans of doing anything to the sound system in the car other than maybe remove it someday.

Specifically I am looking for the wire colors of the left/rear and right/rear from the radio to the amp. I want to tap those wires for my sub amp before they goto the speakers and get amplified, but I want to do it near the amp (passenger side, in front of wheel well).
i think i could help you if my desktop wasn't down. someone with bentley would have access to wiring diagrams. give it a day so more people get a chance to view the thread, or try vortex/audiworld. i know there are a lot more people with systems in their cars on those forums
Achttung, thanks! I have my car sitting in pieces right now trying to figure this out. Soooo frustrating! I've been searching the internet/forums all day looking for the pinouts, wiring diagram, etc. Can't find stuff on the TT, but if I was looking for an A4, or any other audi car I would be set.
Hopefully someone with a Bentley will log on soon, take pitty on me and help out.
I have the cable/connector disconnected now and it is a 25 pin connector. Has wire colors yellow, red/white, blue/green, Black on the 4 corners if that helps anyone. Not sure which pin is #1 though.
Thanks
