Does it turn over? What else is wrong im sorry but your going to have to post more information if you want help, we cant help you over the net, if you just say "It wont start". How did it die? Anything wrong? Sounds, check engine lights, etc....

The car turns over sounds like it wants to start but will not last 5 seconds. The radio stays on even when car is acc is off.The tach reading says 1000 rpm , Mph stuck at 15, No lights on dash, and window can operate when alarm is set.

Something similar happened to me. My A8 would not start one morning. It turned over, but engine did not catch. Turned out that I had to change the entire odometer unit because some chip in there that connects the smart key to the unit was bad. First they said, I just had to get a new key. Then said they could not fix the chip and wanted me to get a new unit. They wanted 900.00 for the new unit and 300 for labor. I got a used one for 400.00, but now my car shows 20k more miles that it actually has. they cannot fix the mileage reading.

Not to be an assand point out the obvious, but here it is:

If your car isn't running your tach will seem to be stuckat zero...

I had the same kind of problem and after doing a lot of searching, I found a few people who had the same thing happen to them and it was their gauge cluster. I sent mine to BBA reman but I haven't gotten it back yet. Its suppost to be here tomorrow so I'll let you know if that fixes it.
