Default Best First MODS

I have 2000 180 Quattro.

What in your opinion would be the BEST First MODS? (3 or 4)

Please List Them and Explain Why.

Thanks everyone. I am getting ready to do some MOD purchases. I have pretty much done all the Maintaince fluid changes etc...

Thanks

Jeff

I didn't do the mods myself.

However the last owner did an ECU upgrade/borla exhaust....

my car is faster than crap. It will eat a 225 for breakfast.

I think those would be the best mods first.

Together they cost him $1700

1. Chip - Best performance bang for the buck

2. 19mm Neuspeed rear sway bar - makes the car more neutral

3. TTDA or VTDA - Now that you have a chip you need to free up the incoming air flow

4. Exhaust - Now that you have the power from the Chip and the Intake, free up the exhaust for more HP.. besides aftermarket exhaust sounds better.

I have the exhaust/chip... however I do not have the intake yet.... how much HP do you think i'd gain from that?

Any chance a upgraded intake will screw up my MAF sensor?

1- Chip and DV (I think they should be one because you will need a new DV if you chip your car, I went with GIAC)

2-Modshack Intake and **** (I chose the VTDA because it is the more hotrod of the two and alittle better flowing, and you need the 4.0bar FPR with the ****)
2.a-(Might want to check into a new intake hose, I did)

3-Exhaust (I chose borla)

4-FMIC (gona get Forge here in the spring when it gets alittle warmer)

There are two sides of the fence, GIAC and APR... from what people have said about the two, you're probably just as good with either of them.

I have an intake and chip, exhaust mods coming soon. Also, I de-screened my MAF when I upgraded my intake (some say you don't really need a bigger MAF).

I have a stock DV, but I'm going to upgrade to OEM N75 soon... I plan to go with a 'Boost Machine' pneumatic boost controller in the future. There's definitely a trick to driving it smoothly for now, but I got it down

Boost guage!!! It's a must when you're upgrading! Get that FIRST.

yeah get a boost gauge before you even think about getting a boost controller like the boost machine. you could screw up the turbo and and maybe the engine. i'm going with apr after talking to a few guys abou the giac they say the giac x chip is very spiky and makes the car run too rich. and they say apr is more linear and stock like, but how the power comes on is much more smooth and no rich or lean issues.
