After boost gauge install, 9psi is max i'm seeing. also i have 18 hg vac @ idle and 20 hg when moving in gear w/o gas


I have a hosetech silicone set i'm going to install soon... do you think that will fix the problem?

 

It could be a dv or just load. Until you show the dv is bad or a boost leak, im going with load. Go down the street at ~45mph in 5th and give it gas, you should see 11psi and sometimes 12-13

 

..................Are you chipped? I think that 9 psi of fury is all your gonna get without a chip.

Come one now, what engine with some mileage on it doesn't leak a little bit of boost.
I forgot TT's get a little bit more oomph than the A4.

 

Mine didnt leak any when i got it with over 80k on it.

Yeah, that 2psi on a ko3 is HUGE...LOL

 

yeah i have 71k miles. I just replaced the DV with a forge 007 and showed no difference in the max psi. Ive tried gasing from all different scenarios and never broke the 10psi mark.

 

What boost guage did you get?
and what company did you buy your silicone hoses from?
I went to hightempsilicone.com and I still havent got SH*T! except for acredit card charge.
I totaly forgot about that thread with neurotic and mysteryman83 on how they got charged and never got anything.
