Brake Dust
Couple of questions on brake pads:
Is there a good pad, low noise and low dust/residue? Same question for wheel cleaner - one that removes the dust and not the Mothers polish that took half a day to apply? |
RE: Brake Dust
Yes, Hawk ceramic performance pads: http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...bcategory=Pads
Make sure you get the pads with wear sensors if you need them. Look at your existing pads for a wire/ connector to know. Wipe the brake dust off with a dry towel. After that, I usually just use greased lightning, but don't leave it on the wheel very long after you scrub, or it will look terrible. |
RE: Brake Dust
Yeah... I put Centric cermaic pads that I got from www.philsinc.com. The Centric pads are low dust/high-wear pads as good as the Hawks and a lot cheaper. I paid about $125 for front and rear pads for my car. Now my wheels are relatively dust free and look great.
