Default A/C clutch compressor

Hey guys just a quick question. I have an 01 225 TT and the nut on the compressor for the clutch came off. Weird I know, but I am glad that I caught it in time before the clutch flew off. Any way I was wondering if that compressor is shared with any other VW or Audi model. The reason I ask is simply a matter of $$$$$ I saw that it is just as expensive to get a new clutch as it is just to get a new compressor with a clutch on it. But if I can save some money by getting a used one from a TT or another model that would be great.

I would ask the dealers's parts department if they have the bolt seperate. If they don't you can try www.shokan.com for a used one.

Thanks for the link. I gave them a call and they quoted me $350 for a used compressor. Does anyone know if the A/C compressors are shared with any other Volkswagen platform? If so then maybe I could go to a junk yard and pull one off myself for cheap since really I only need the clutch itself.

i can get you a brand new unit for 350 shipped. or a reman unit for 300 shipped. its the same compressor from about everything. any mk4 1.8t, 1.9, 2.0, vr etc... if you get one from a beetle you have to switch over a electrical connector.
