When I try to turn on my cd changer it says error 3 my book says I have to take it back to the dealership. Does anybody know what this means?

 

nope..mine does the same and the cartridge won't stay in.

 

That sucks my cartridge stays in though.

 

mine needs pushed to the left to make it click.When i got mine, the power line hada short in it. I dont remember what the screen said but mine wouldnt load either. I took out the changer and the power and groud were touching near the changer. Took some electrical tape and covered up the wires and reinstalled. Problem fixed.

 

Looks like err 3 is "scratched / dirty disk". Try taking all the cds out of the cartridge and see what it does. If it isn't one of the cds then maybe a dirty lens. They have cd lens cleaners at like bestbuy.
