code po118 ???

Default code po118 ???

i pulled a P0118 code on my audi tt 2001 says system coolent temp does anyone now what this is? my coolent level is fine thoe??? hummm

you can test the sensor with a multimeter ( the lower the temp = a higher ohms reading ) test by probing pins 1 and 3, example O degrees C should show 5000 ohms so the higher the temp the lower the reading and a 100 degrees C would be around 140 ish ohms, if engine is warm ane the sensor give zero reading its the sensor and you need a new one

Easy peasy to change.....but one bit of advice is to order the $0.52 plastic retainer clip ......I lost mine and had to run back into the dealer. Stercus accidit !
