Default Coil-Pack Replacement... Options?

Hey Everyone!
--Threw a CEL today so I popped down to my local SpeedZone(TM) and did a VAGCOM. I got these codes out of it:
-P1136: "fuel system too lean"
-Failed MAF
-Vac Leak
-Failed Ho2S
-P0304: "Misfire in cylinder 4"
-Injector Fault
-Faulty Spark Plugs/wires/coil

...So I did a MAF clean (Isopropalene) and I checked my plugs... everything seemed fine except spark-plug #4 was copper and gapped past double what the others were gapped at. I reset the gap distance on plug #4 and put it in cylinder #2, swapped coil-pack 1&4 and fired her back up...
Now she idles like crap and the RPM's bounce everywhere during a simple engine rev. I'm pretty sure it's a failed coil-pack, but what I need to know; is there a home remedy/repair for this? If not what's a good replacemet/alternative for the coil-pack, so I don't just climb back into this mess with recalled packs???

Thanx for the help!

Not a bad price on a set of four. $111.95. I wonder if that is why I get a wierd little blip in my idle every now and again? My car is a 2003 though, and I thought they solved the coil pack problems with the later cars.

they still have problems with coils. The hitachis are far better than the push downs and fail far less often.

I have the Hitachis' right now. I thought they were stock... ([sm=oopssign.gif]). Well, I guess I ordered another one just in case. So the Hitachis' are the way to go, but like all Audi coil-packs, burn out pretty often? I just replaced my sparks also which needed to be done anyhow, so all-in-all it's not all that bad and I have a backup coil-pack just in case...right? [sm=smiley20.gif]
I just wish there was some sort of mod or repair method for the POS coil-packs! If they fail so often because of engine heat, why not switch to straight wires with normal spark sockets or something... I gare-runn-tee the wires would fail far less than coil-packs. The only downside would be gunk build-up down in those sockets... but with a plug of some sort that could be rectified. Hmmm...
