what advantage/benefit is there?

cincyTT 09-29-2008 01:03 AM

The resistor will get rid of one code, but you need a code in your chip to get rid of the other code if im not mistaken.

The n249 is like a backup to control boost. The ecu can use it to open the dv and lower boost pressure. If you remove it, you will have a smoother running car since the dv will be 100% closed. Of course it recommended that you use good boost control when doing this.

thats probably why i have the code seeing as i have no dv...

i followed the vortex one but as its for a 180 model i had to figure most of it out by myself which wasnt too hard....good to see one for the 225....now u need to do the EGR block off plate and remove the SAI pump

TurboTT920 09-29-2008 02:54 PM

I have an extra block off plate if anyone needs one, still in the package.
they're $40 new from 20squared

Is that something that a vagcom can handle or revo/apr/uni?

cincyTT 09-29-2008 05:15 PM

I know uni has the files for it, not sure about revo or gaic, but i do know APR doesnt have it
