Back from the shop!!! Had the timing belt, water pump and tensioner changed. Dealer said cost would be $1050.00. Had the dealer look at the dashboard problem. They called this morning and said the dash needed to be replaced. Since we just picked the thing up the dealer offered free installation if I paid for the dashboard. In turn I offered them 50% payment on the part and free installation. A few hours later they accepted my offer.

Cost breakdown: $419.00 dashboard, $93.00 tax and $813.00 for the timing belt, water pump and tensioner. Hey even though I put a grand into the car i still don't have $11,500 total invested, not too bad!
