Looks like T-Carbons FMIC. Looks good mate, just wondering did you wrap your charge pipe in something? Also, what did you do to your intake manifold, and last question, how are the gains does it run smoother? I am thinking of getting this same kit? Thanks, looks good!

 

thanks, yea charge pipe is wraped and intake mani is painted and polished...all pretty dirty right now

Looks like a 225 engine

 

it is a 225. you can tell by the back of the engine where the turbo is, the heatshield gives it away. Not to mention the intake manifold (but that can be changed).

yeah that somewhat looks like tcarbons but i dont think it is. also he has steel pipes instead of the silicon. i've heard mixed things on having hard pipes because of heat soak issues but idk i like the look much better than the silicon. also heard that wrapping the charge pipe makes it hotter. i know that it will keep the under hood temps lower but makes the pipe actually more hot because it traps the heat on the pipe (if that makes sense) the reason i know this is that i talked to many people (including steve S) and advises not to wrap it. i will still research it though cuz i want the under hood temps pretty low for obvious reasons

but the FMIC looks good! also do you have a greddy catch can near your strut tower bar?

 

the tcarbon fmic is much larger and uses silicon piping. Wrapping the ic piping will keep the engine heat from getting to the piping raising temps. Looks like his pipes are aluminum, they are far lighter than steel but absorb heat more. Silicon does not absorb heat from either side.

ps i bet you cant see my catch can... its under the engine cover. But you can see my huge a$$ turboxs h34 dv though.
