Default Forge DV relocator.. worth it?

It will look nice with the colored hoses, but is it really a decent mod?

Seems from the write up it would be worth it, does anybody have this and what do you think?

The advantages of moving it wont really be noticed until you use it on a turbo that flows alot more air and has lag. However moving it to where it should be is always a good thing.

Thanks bro, would you say getting the silicone hoses pack would be a better buy with my 200 bucks right now then?

I would take that money and go to ebay and buy a downpipe with it. It will net you a noticable gain, that is unless you want nicer hoses in your engine bay

ya its worth it i never understood why the DV is where it is stock...pushing hot air back into the intake pipe...

Its there for packaging reasons. The temp of the air being recirc has nothing to do with relocating it, its the reduction in respool and less chance of surge since the valve further away allows the turbo to spin faster between shifts

No the DV relo will not net you the same gains over a DP. You could be talking about getting a DP with a test pipe..couldn't decipher. If you are the gains will be better without a cat because there is less restriction. Is it gonna be enough to feel...I don't think so. I have run both on my 225. I am currenty catless....I couldn't tell and haven't dyno'ed to even get a baseline.

As for the BPV relo, I have ran this mod for a year now. They say it helps with spool and valve longevity plus it dumps cooler air back into the intake track vs the hot compressed air. That falls back to the old argument of putting on a CAI on a F/I engine and we know where that ends up.

When I first installed the kit I could have sworn it "spooled" faster but it could have also been the placebo effect going on. One thing I do know is that I can actually touch my valve w/o gloves. So that part is at least true, LOL.

i bought it for the life of the valve...heat is an enemy to many things...and also for the less likely chance of turbo surge..plus the location is much better if you ever have to service your DV example shims, springs, grease etc
