grinding the gears?
 

I just recently had my clutch replaced, now going from first to second grinds the gears a little bit. Anybody else had this problem? whats the fix? and please dont reply pushing the clutch in all the way.

i get that problem to but only when im shiftin fast at high revs. idk y it does that

It didn't happen before you got the clutch?

Sacgns: it's common if your car has quite a few miles on it, just the synchros. my bro's old 92 accord did it all the time above 3,000 rpm

My car does have 80K on it so that might be the problem and yes it's only in high RPM's that it happens. is the fix a huge pain the A!@

ya mine started grindin after i had the clutch replaced. but the dealership said it would be 2000 or somethin like that to fix the syncros because it isnt in warrenty. the best way to stop that is to just jerk that shit in gear at high revs so it only grinds a little other wise it grinds like a bitch.

ya i had my dad drive the car, hes prob the most knowledgable person on cars i know hes built ferraris from the gound up, and hes said it might be the syncros so did the dealer but then he drove it an said i might just be shitin to hard.

I would change the fluid out as well. I know Audi says "lifetime" but that is just foolish in my opinion. I always change manual transmission fluid every 15-20k miles. From my experience with other cars, a fluid change on higher mileage cars usually helped to prolong the need for a transmission rebuild when syncros were suspected of being worn. I know what worn syncros feel like and it isn't fun. I hope this helps. Try some Redline MTL or MT-90.

Yep, I was just about to say fluid too. I used to have grinding problems from time to time and did a manual transmission drain/fill and it went away.
