Here are my questions

I just recently had the MAF sensor completely replaced at the Audi dealership in October. Should they cover this issue? What could be causing this?

As for the O2 sensor, I'm assuming its just unplugged? Do you guys know where I can find it? Also where I can buy one if it is damanged or malfunctioning? I'll be darned if im going to pay the dealerships costs.

Thank you guys for all your help. Its been rough with this car, but as I stated in my other thread... I think im gonna keep her...I think threatening to sell her was just my way of venting...thank you everyone for putting up with my non-sense!

Yep, it's a prob with the Pre-Cat O2 sensor. It is located on the downpipe tucked up between the firewall and the engine. It's tough to get to but it possible with the right tools. A good VW shop can do it, you don't need to pay the stealership all the time to do work on your car if you can't DIY.

The sensor itself may have gone T!TS-UP. You can check to see if it is plugged in. The wires come down to connect to the harness under the car on the passenger side. You should see a small black plastic cover with three wires running into it. One from the Pre-Cat sensor, one for the Post-Cat and a third for the harness that leads back up to the ECU.

The TT O2 sensors are somewhat spendy if you buy the exact factory part. You can get by with the cheaper VW version, you just have to splice and solder the longer leads on to the sensor with the connector.

Theoretically speaking If I just paid tires plus two days ago to change my oil which is on my passenger side could they have messed up the o2 sensor or disconnected it inadvertantly?

Because I just had my oil done, and they stated tonight when I came in that they didn't do it or mess with it. If I can prove its BS I can make them pay for it.

there is no way they could have messed it up by just doing an oil change but....if they were tinkering around then who knows thats why i wont let any one touch my car....i saw on real tv one time people were complaing about this mechanic shop screwing people so they decided to put hidden cameras in the shop and what they found out was horrible....the mechanics were actually breaking pieces on purpose!!!! Scared the **** out of me.

Needless to say, If I EVER caught someone doing that to my car the cops wouldn't even be called. I'd beat the living **** out of him .Then I'd make him pay me back for my time and my anger plus my parts. Then I would use it to black male him so he cant tell the cops on me and vis versa.

But I would seriously give him the beating of his life. [:@] I seriously just get mad thinking about it.

Yep thats y im a DIY kinda guy. I know that **** is done and done right. When I go to the dealership or wherever, I sit in the garage, I know you are not supposed to be able to, but after talking with the manager and maybe signing some paperwork then I just watch as the mech. work on my car. I make sure that nothing like ever will happen to me. I would seriously hurt someone real real real bad.... but see bmwtoaudi it would be an easy fix, and you were getting all worried, O2 sensors just go out and will cause your engine to run rich is about it, replace it and you will be good to go.
