Default Had an odd problem

About a month ago I had an issue where I had some smoke come through my A/C vents. Initially, I thought the smoke came from the huge truck in front of me. (I was at idle at a stop light). I also was having issues with my car stalling out while idle or bog down like it was going to stall out. I went to the dealer right after the smoke incident and they couldn't figure out what it was. (They said the car wasn’t throwing codes) Anyhow, the other day the A/C just up and stopped blowing cold air. Come to find out that my compressor's clutch blew out. The odd part is that smoke a MONTH ago was that part blowing out. No codes thrown AND the A/C still worked for well over a month. (Not good mind you). Of course since the compressor blew and I still used the A/C other components went bad. Thank GOD for Warranties! The dealer claims the stalling/bogging of the engine was due to the compressor clutch failure. Anyone know if this is true?

very feasible if the A/C clutch was going bad then it would load the electrical system and cause other issues like what your experiencing when the clutch went it simply switched the A/C off ( even though you might have thought it was on it reverts to standard blower ) so you would loose the ice cold side of it so only warm air,

just as well you had that warranty it would have been ab expensive repair

Update to the odd problem. Well, A/C works great now, but I'm still having this stall problem. Seems to only happen with A/C running, but only when its first turned on. Again, I brought it down to the dealer and a Tech drove with me. Of course murphy had his way with me and the problem didnt re-create. Stalled out like 6 times while on the way there. The dealer plans on getting with their tech department and researching my VIN to see if I have the proper ECU version. Appearently, this was an early problem with 3.2L and was fix with an upgraded ECU. My car was made to order and bought while I was stationed in Germany so they believe it might not have the flash. That would be odd since I'd assume this kind of upgrade would original from Germany. /shrug If anyone had similiar problems let me know. Thanks.
