Default Heating gauge - needles moves one notch to right when in traffic

I'm sure this is a stupid question but I know nothing about cars, except that I love my 03 TT roadster. When I am stopped in traffic, the needle on the heating gauge moves one notch over to the right (from the middle). Is this normal, or should I be worried about overheating?

You might want to replace your coolant sensor with a new greentip one. You can get it at the dealership (mine was covered under the warranty) or order it online.

irregardless, be mindful of the temperature.. I had mine overheat on me in heavy traffic in Orlando once... I pulled over and my cololant was boiling (heat guage was almost maxed out)

Make sure you get a green-top sensor if it still happens just keep an eye on it, mine does only when its 100+ outside, and im stuck in traffic. If it moves anymore than that you may want to look into it more.
