Help With Cooling Issue
I have been working on my gf's TT for the past 3 days. Originally I thought that the air conditioning was the problem. Now it is something completely different.
The cooling fans will not turn on or cycle.
I have replaced the Temperature fan switch that goes into the radiator and the fan control module. And still they will not turn on.
The AC compressor has problems all on its own. Its pressure reading is 150 low 500 high.
What could it be?

Would the voltage inform on a simillar issue? After driving the car then coming to stop for a couple of minutes, it overheats one mark, but then both fans kick on and bring it back down to normal temp. I just replaced the coolant sensor hoping it would fix it but nope. all my fuses etc are fine, and the coolant temp through hvac matches the guage cluster readout.
man i dont see how 194 degree coolant is cooling that hot oil....its more like maintaining the current operating temp of the oil. roughly 200 degrees is op temp for most oils....next mod i'll be doing is an oil cooler.!!! total cost is around $230
To the original poster: Don't worry about the AC untill you get the fans fixed. It won't work worth a crap until the fans are working so fixing the fans might also fix the AC. First, check you fuses, if they check out, unplug the fans and put a volt meter on the pins in the plug. Turn the AC on since the fans should always be running when the AC is on. If it reads 12 volts, your fans are bad. If there is no voltage there, then check for voltage at the fans' fuse. Track it down from there.
