Help Misfire Issue

I have a 2001 TT convertible Quatro 225hp. My problems first started when coil pack 2 went out, I took it to the machanic and bam fixed. Then i decided to drive to Baltimore for the day and the coil pack three went out, I was on the road on a sunday with no shop near. I made some calls and was told it was easy to replace and to do a few tests and I could do it. Quite frankly its not very hard so i decided to replace both 3 and 4 while I had all the wires, covers and tubes out of the way. Any way I was on my way back home and started having a few problems with misfires, but not missing like it was when the packs were bad. I decided to make sure everything was new so I replace the last coil pack and bought four new plugs. Unfotunatly I dont know what brand they are, I bought them at NAPA and gapped to .032. Anyway all was good until the car got hot. I press onthe gas and RPM's get up to about 2500 the misfire happens. I cleaned the Mass Air Flow meter, it worked a little longer but happened again. I am going to pick up four stock plugs from the dealer and hope that works. When the engine is cold the car is fine, it accelerates fast and smooth like its suppose. The problem becomes an issue when it gets hot.

Any suggestions?

Replace all the packs at once, not one by one cause if one goes thn tht means the other ones might to, also new plugs are a good idea

They have all been replace and I replaced the spark plugs too. I am going to replace with NGK stock plugs and then possibly the mass airflow meter.

I have an '01 TT 1.8L and pretty much the same problem. Please let me know how this goes for you. I have replaced a coil and cleaned the MAF. I don't really know if I should replace the spark plugs or not. How did you determine what to gap them to?

I went to the dealer and bought 4 NGK spark plugs and checked the NGK website for gapping at .032. I think they were around $75, not cheap for plugs. They are the OEM part for this car, Platinum plugs. Previously I bought some aftermarket Napa brand. My thought is dont waste your time on aftermarket stuff and if one coil pack goes the rest are soon to follow. I will be putting them in today or tomorrow and will let you know what happens.

New plugs didn't work. Once the care is hot and I press on the accelartor to accelerate rapidly the car misfires. When I accelerate at a slower rate there is no misfire. Urgghhh, this is frustrating as hell. I got some help with a VAG COM and I need a coolant termprature sensor and the ABS Wheel Speed Sensor need replacing.

Does anyone know where I can get a new Coil Pack wiring harness replacement? I tried ECSTUNING and they dont carry one for the TT 225hp. I also tried the dealer and they want $930. I am willing to rebuild it if I need to, but would rather by a replacement.
