HELP NEEDED ASAP
I posted this in gen tech as well, sorry for the repost, but I need this info asap.I have been having CEL problems since the first day i got my TT in Sept. Well, I put yet another MAF in and as of Friday, no CEL, and the RMPS are holding better. I disconnected the battery to clear the CEL, and put at least 150 miles on it over the weekend. I went to get my inspection today, and it failed the OBDII test because the O2 sensor ant the cat converter were not ready yet. I was just wondering if there was a drive cycle that it had to run through until the computer was able to get that information. I always thought it was 50 miles or so. My inspection runs out tomorrow, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Gotta get that stuff up to temp and kept there for some period of time, I'm wondering if you've achieved that. I threw a code on the way to getting my car inspected, turned out to just be a shorted wire from the B1 O2 sensor. I taped it, cleared the code, and drove the car back the next day and it was all clear. Probably did a little less than 100 miles, 2 drives up around 30 minutes at highway speed, plus errands around town.
Well I have about 300 miles on it now since i pulled the terminals off. It should be good, the last 100 miles or so were consecutive highway miles. All the other sensors checked in, just not those two. I get a free test again since i failed, hopefully i dont get pulled over in the mean time. Thanks for the help.
