I have a 01 TT 225 and I want to get my car dyno'd! The closet place is 176 miles away! What can I do? I heard I can remove the Haldex fuse, but is that safe? Any recommendations PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Some pull the fuse.. Haldex doesn't recommend it.. .

Read this and make your own decision.

Theres been a group of us on AudiWorld.com trying to put together a formula to run logs using Vag and get a generalized idea. The S4 guys have been doing this for some time so we've been trying to adapt it to us. Run a search and contact someone with a 225 that did the test and has been to an AWD dyno. I know of at least 2 or 3 with 225's that have done this and posted about it.

right at the back of the rear diff there is a harness that if you unplug it will entirely disable the haldex. i was forced to drive that way for a month and no damage took place. i just didnt have traction controll. also the numbers you will put down will be higher than acctual. not by much but still slightly. when the haldex has no power it is nothing more than a driveshaft spinning on a bearing. the clutches inside of it will not attempt to engage at all. the harness is mounted to the back of the diff, on a bracket with 2 bolts. you can see it even if you slightly peek under there. This is somewhat of a common practice around here from what i have heard. for the same reason as yours. most good shops used to have only 2 wheel dynos

Whether you pull the plug or the fuse, the results are the same. You will still be turning the input shaft.
