How do I remove the tire

I know that sounds dumb... but how do you get the tire off? I'm not sure how to remove the cover over the lugs. I bought the car used and there is no manual.

there is a tool in your trunk shaped like a U with 2 teeth on the inside of it... use that to pull off the lug covers... it should be to the right of your spare

Yea... that tool is missing. Any other ideas how to do this without that tool?

I've used plyers in the past, I have a good assortment, some shapes work better than others

Is this tool specific to the TT... or do other Audis also need it?

most cars in general use the tool. You can prob find one at an auto parts store. ask for the lug nut cap removal tool. Otherwise, maybe try a small bent screw driver. They are hard to remove even with the tool tho.
