So I just have 1 key and I had to put a new bettery in but it doesnt work anymore. Maybe the programming is lost? I have VAG but I dont know what to do? Has anyone ever tried programming their key with just one key?

 

i just had to do this to my key. to synchronize it press the A button or button c on the remote one time. then you have to either lock or unlock it with in a minute with the master key and you should be all set.

 

so take my key remote press either the the top or bottom bottom(not middle) then unlock it or lock it with a master key? What is the master key? Is it the key that I just pressed the button on?

 

yea that should work. i dont belive that you have to have another key. you have to press top or bottombutton and then lock or unlock it manualy with the key.

humm..i got my manual out to see what it says in there. on page 62 resetting the key it reads To 1.synchronize ,press button A or C on the remote control one time.2 then within one minute , lock or unlock the drivers door with the master key. if that doesnt work you might have to have the dealer reactivatet the system.

 

Mine is on page 81.
Says the same thing.
