... The damn tubing kit from 42DD doesn't really work with the in vent installation. The vent tunnel in the back of the gauge
requires the tubing to take a sharp 90 degree turn which totally kinks that hard tubing from 42DD. I guess that was a waste of money.
Why don't you try a short piece 2-3" of rubber vacuum line of small enough diameter to fit the rigid line snuggly inside. That will let you bend it which ever way you need.

You may have something there. Perhaps I can use a piece of silicone tubing inbetween and us it to make that bend. and secure with zip ties. Hmm. I will give it a try now.

That's what I did. You can even get like 1/8" ID washer tubing.

VWs in the mid '70s used rigid vacuum lines that had rubber tubing for the junction points and bends. It was a stupid design because the rigid stuff would break and crumble after 5 or 6 years. That was the era when VW almost lost it.

I just have mune running into the vent duct, make a lazy 180 in there, and then coming out the same way.

kinda like this:

Cute fingerpaint [8D]

I ended up putting a 6mm rubber tubing over the screw on fitting and then slipped in the hard tubing into the rubber tubing and zip tied the
whole thing. So far so good. Working like a charm
