Default just when i thought i had it figured out .... it still vibrates.

so i wad due for an alignment and new tires and i got them last weekend. great...... well i leave the shop and the ride is smooth, as long as i go straight or turn right. as soon as i turn left i get this nasty vibration. i cant tell where its coming from but it is steering related. i had it before the alignment and it was worse with worn out low profile tires. its just got me stumped. i replaced all that could have been bad bushings wise. i am only left with a few theories. loose wheel bearing. the vibration feels like driving on an unbalanced wheel. remeber it only happens whel i turn left, so i scratched that idea especially since i just got new shoes. i think it happened after i lowered my car. but i am using koni adjustables with h&r springs. anyone have anything similar happen. i'm sick of it. i'm about to trade my tt for a smart car if i cant get this fixed.

a grinding/vibrating only while turning is probably one of the main symptoms of a bad wheel bearing.

thats what i had figured, but it i was so sudden thats why i havent looked there till now. i'm going to the dealer in the next week to get them changed. i'm just tired of puting money into this car. i did all the aftermarket i wanted and now the stock stuff on top of it. it sucks up a lot of cash. and i only pay it in cash no credit cards so it takes a big toll on savings

been there....
debating whether to sell my quad or not. Picked up an old Blaster for $600, and then put that amount into it. Its quick, but I keep breaking stuff.

Money pits they are! Hey but smart cars rock. I rode in a few while I was in Europe over the summer. Tuned ones are especially fun as well. I had a bad vibration turning right when I was driving the PT Cruiser. It was the wheel bearing, and after I lowered that car it was more pronounced. Keep us informed though.

Just a random link after searching for TT wheel bearings. Whole assembly $30 a side. Can't image it'd be too hard to do yourself, but I'm not sure if there is special tools required or not, I've only done them on the rear of a 89 Ford Tempo and up front on a 4x4 full size Jeep. Once you start involving axle shafts things get different, I know theres a huge (2.5" diameter) weird socket for removing the lock nuts in the axle on the Jeep.

Someone with a working Bentley will have to help you out there.
