Default Launch Control?

I just got a 2009 TT 3.2 Manual. I know the S-Tronic has the launch control. I tried the same technique with the manual, press the gas and the brake and it works. The engine idles around 3800. But how the hell do I do that and push the clutch down at the same time? Is there something im missing? Can I even do it? The owners manual doesn’t help at all.
Thank You

I'm pretty sure it's an idiot control so you don't overrev your engine, not for "launch control"...

i would agree with you, but it only does it when u hold the brake down. It should do it at all times with brake up or down then.

The DSG cars have the launch control, with a manual you need to hold the clutch down with the gas to the rpm, then just dump the clutch. However, if you want a real launch control, you can get the wot box from n2mb. This is an actual launch control for the manual and it will keep the TB from closing so you will also make boost while standing still

and making boost while standing still must be sexy... wonder if you can make boost even on a bigger turbo such as a 3076 haa

I know my car cuts power if i try to brake boost... it might be the same system that doesn't allow that.

It is safety overengineering if it's the same thing.
Stopping people who freeze up from mashing gas and brake at the same time.
I saw a post about it a while ago...

Here it is, and I still can't find those other two threads that were mentioned.

AHA! here's one of them:

from what people have already have posted, you will only make a few psi on a 3076r unless you rev it well past 5k. The reason is that there is no timing retard so you will build less boost on bigger turbos with the wot box. A stand alone ems will allow you to do both and make around 1bar with it however
