Not my style. Honestly, if you want to add LEDs, they should be installed inside the headlight. Otherwise it looks like your trying too hard.

 

agreed.. i think if you want leds, buy a new car..

Me, I'm old but don't like either inside/outside on the mk1. just doen't fit the design IMO. but your car(s), your money so do what makes you happy.

your lights do look nice on the inside. that would mean i have to take the lens off and bake them. the pics of the lights really does not do it justice. they look really nice at night but i think i over did it. i should have been a little less.

 

I wouldn't suggest putting them in the oven. It dries out the insulation around the wires and can lead to problems. You can just pull your lights and leave them on some hot asphalt for an hour or 2. That should be plenty of heat to get them open.

The key to successfull oven baking is looooooo heat. Preheat oven to 170 and keep in for 10 minutes.

 

That's too hot IMO. I've had mine open 4 or 5 times. In most cases, just leaving them on hot asphalt for a little while should be plenty. You can put em in the oven if you want, but I think it's unnecessary. In some cases, just the heat from a hot engine is enough to get em open.
