Looking for 2001 Maintenance Booklet (180 hp)
 

I'm a newbie here and just picked up a 2001 Quattro Coupe. Unfortunately the car didn't come with the maintenance booklet, so I'm trying to dig one up. Any thoughts on where I might find one or at least be able to see the recommended services. I'm wondering if I can go 5000 miles between oil changes if I use Mobil Oneand do 400 miles of mostly highway driving a week.

i do 7-8k between oil changes mobil 1 0w40.

bentley manual.

Timing belt at 60k, it will break before the 100k dealer time.

I have a hard time keeping CDs in good condition. Can the Bentley CD be stored in full on a hard drive or is it all cryptofied*? If so, I saw a paper copy on TTstuff... anyone know if that is worth it? I'd hate to have to need a computer with me in my driveway when I work on the car.

*imaginary word I made up to convey my point

how about you use the cd and put it back in the case when your done. Im sure they are encrypted to prevent duplication. Yes i am a dork, but i know some girls like that! ;)

But i betyou can print the pages you need for the job at hand, if you are more compfortable with a hardcopy, get a hardcopy.

I appreciate the suggestion for the service manual, but will this manual really reflect Audi's recommendations? That's really all I'm looking for at this point. Even a photocopy (scan, fax, etc) of any year TT suggested maintenance booklet would be a big help.

I would think that the dealer would be able to print out their maintenance sheets for a TT to give to you. They are a set milage thing that the dealer should be able to print for referenece. But the best thing to do is use these forums like crazy. You can find the answer to just about anything on a TT on these forums.
