Default Low Beams

I have a 225Q with the HIDs.

Both of my low beams have went out. I have high beams and all, just no lows. First each one turned more of a purple tint, then a day later went out, but after they went out. if I played with the **** for the lights, switching them on and off, they headlights would come back on and flicker out.

Is this probably just the ballasts?

Hmm, sounds to me like a switch. Do you have a voltimeter? You could take a bulb out and turn on the headlights and see if they are getting voltage to the connections. It could be the bulbs, i guess.. but both shouldnt go out on the same day.. thats just almost too strange to happen. Are they completely dead now or can you play with the switch to get them to stay on? Might want to have a buddy do that while you test for voltage.

no these weren't in the same day, they were one after the other within a month or two time span. I hadn't worried about the first one because 130 for a bulb is rediculous. then the other went out so i figured it might be something else.
