I have a check engine light its a cooling sys malfunction. The sensor is on its way but I dont think that would cause it to go into limp mode would it.

what cooling system malfunction? the car is definitely in limp mode... what is the mileage? have you checked your plugs/coilpacks?

you would usually throw a misfire code for the coil/spark plug problems.

check all your turbo lines, too. might have a leak. keep us posted....

Hmm dont really think it would, is there only one code being thrown? Do the ECU reset and then see if anything else popps up or if it fixes it. The coolant sensor is only for startup then it should be fine after the car warms up. Remember your 02 sensor could be going out as well. Take it somewhere get the code numbers and then let us know what they are.

Has anyone ever shortened the waste gate rod to get a little more boost?

That will work, but kill the turbo very fast. Also, move the boost gauge line to the fpr instead.

ps. im nathan/nate
