Default need a part no. / tips on this engine mount

Hello, recently did my timing belt. Unfortunately, my little brother was helping me and somehow spun the threads in this picture. He stripped the first 3 or 4 rows of threads for this lower portion of the passenger side mount. The threads in question are in the hole closest to us / front of engine.

We have a new stretch bolt in there, but I need to know if it will hold, or if I have to replace the lower portion of the mount. I guess Helicoil is an option, and so is redrilling and retapping to a larger size, but how much is a new or upgraded mount? How hard is this piece to replace?I dont recall us taking it out to do the TB, but we very well might have.

What are my options, and whats the chance of it not holding? It is a really high stress point? The other bolt holds fine, but how much stress is on the one in question? :-)

This mount is the 2 piece one with the large rubber cushion that surrounds the other portion of the mount. Also, what is the technical name for this mount? Now that I think about it, I think we did have it out of the car at some point...

Thanks.

buy the vf engineering mount 180 bucks for one but you will want to upgrade both sides....that side and the tranny side.....trust me you'll thank me once you get those mounts....did you look a couple posts down? about the TT that's engine hit the ground.

yeah, I saw that post.

exactly how hard are these to change out? Will I notice any performance changes if I go with the VF ones at some point? This is my daily driver, and its pretty much stock. If I can get just the stock lower portion for less, I really rather go that route.

Like i said - the it was the first 3-4 rows of threads that were toast. The rest of the threads bit down fine, and the entire other bolt is holding it as well.
I honestly think its a pretty poor design, when you can over torque an engine mount bolt and strip the engine mount. I rather see stripped bolts, but I guess thats for smarter people to decide.

I'm a 26 year old guy just out of college - so dumping another 400 bucks on mounts really isnt an optimal solution for me. I've already shelled out the $ for the TB kit, brakes, a new DV, Pancake PCV Valve, PCV breather hose, VAG, and im guessing about $500 in other parts. I've owned the car almost a month.

Can we try and come to a semi economically friendly solution. :-)

i would buy both! but to just get by till you get more money to buy the other at least replace the one that is stripped. yes you will notice a big difference in how the engine moves around when you shift. with all the mounts replaced....Dogbone, and both motor mounts the engine doesnt really move at all. very nice and crisp. plus if you have plans on going big turbo at some point you wont have to upgrade them again.

i have the poly bushings for the dogbone mount. Will i need to ever upgrade that one later on if i go big turbo, or will that be fine?

yeah i have the poly in mine.....they should be fine for BT but we will know for sure once we get there .....might just have to buy the VF dogbone if slop still occurs
