I emailed GIAC about upgrades and they of course have the chip but referred me to miltek and awe tuningto see if they have an exhaust. AWE doesnt right now but are working on it. ATP has a 3inch down pipe for the 2.0T but they dont know if it will fit the TT. So the chip is out from several places but might have to wait a few weeks for exhausts to come out. AWE recommends staying with stock intake except high flow filter. Dont know if the diverter valve will need replacing or if they have upgraded the stock one.

But when they do come out with upgrades this will be the car to mod.

It sure will be! ...That is until they decide to make a 2.0T Quattro 5 speed with magnetic ride!
Sorry, I like 5 speeds better than 6 speeds!

So what did GIAC say about hp gain with just the chip? The site says to get the full 50 hp (?) you need the chip, CAI, and exhaust. Let us know what the butt dyno says with just the chip and ask them what other mods they recommend. Like a new diverter valve? Any restricting hoses in the intake? DV relocation better? Enjoy.

50 HP and 60 lb ft. Nothing else suggested. I'd like a cold air intake and boost gauge. I'll let you know morenext week. Work being done at www.autodrmz.com $550.00

So they say you will get the full 50 hp without an upgrade on the exhaust huh? Well I would be a little skeptical of that but if its true then that means that the exhaust must be free flowing to begin with. Im curious if the diverter valve has been upgraded to handle the extra boost or if it will die out like on the later models. I think you should at least put in a K&N filter in the stock air box for now if they have one to help with the air flow. Your car looks good, did you get the upgraded stereo (12 speaker or 9 speaker system) and how does it sound? Man I cant wait to get mine. Let us know how the car feels before and after the chip and see if they have any info on upcoming mods for this baby. I will be doing the GIAC as I liked theirs on my other TT. Thanks.

Looking through the various sites I haven't seen much available yet. I did see a new intake for the 2.0t TT on TTStuff though.

So this is my first post so Thanks.... I was searching high and low for any info on mods for the new TT and I couldn;t find a thing. My Dealer is telling me (a guy that supposedly modded cars for the past 5 years) that they can do the ECU upgrade right in their service department and it's the same ecu code for this as the A3. I thought that it sounded fishy that it would be the same ECU upgrade for this car and the other cars. It said it was a generic upgrade and that he would check with his buddies in the business to see if there are any differences. I would assume there would have to be.

I have looked at every website and NONE of them list an ECU upgrade for the car, so have they just not listed it? Why wouldn't they when everyone else doesn't have it either and then they would be the first on the block with the upgrade and people who want to mod this car would know where to go?

I think IF I knew the real deal and what the real numbers would be I would be more apt to jump on the bandwagon and buy the TT. I am still undecided with what car to buy and this upgrade would probably put me over the edge and order the TT if I knew the real deal.

Do I need an exhaust to get the the extra HP? Do I need the upgraded diverter valve? Would the K&N help? Anything else I would need to do to help?

As you can tell I am kinda new to the forum and modding and would like to know what else I would need.

Ryan
